Kerala has the most interesting and beautiful historical places with religious significance and great historical significance. The best option to explore is hiring a rental car, which is easier for traveling without compromising on your time.
Mattancherry Synagogue is also known as Paradesi Synagogue, which is in Kochi. With a 1-hour, 20-minute drive from Kochi lies the most important historical place in Kerala with rare medieval paintings, which is near Alappuzha. This place’s timings are 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and it remains closed every Monday.
This place is under the control of the state archaeology department. This palace beholds excellence for the architecture. Besides the paintings, the palace contains the armor of warriors, various heavy weapons used in warfare, and ancient coins.
These caves are located in Edakkal and lie at over 3000 feet above sea level. The caves are open from 9:30 to 4:30 in the evening on all days. It is said that these two caves were formed due to the arrows thrown by Lord Rama’s sons, Lava and Kusa.
It is so beautifully carved on the cave walls that the “ancient inscriptions” written date to the pre-Christ period and primarily belong to the Neolithic age. You must climb from the base level to reach these caves. Only walking is allowed here.
